Honeymoon Planning Tip #1: Plan Early

The earlier you start planning your honeymoon, the better. This will ensure the most availability and options from hotels to excursions and flights. You can start booking your airfare as early as 10 to 11 months prior to your departure date and hotels you can sometimes start booking even earlier.

Tip #2: Be Open to Low + Shoulder Season

Did you know that traveling during a destination’s low or shoulder season can save you a lot of money, save you from the big crowds, and give you the most options? If you are flexible with your travel dates for your honeymoon, check out the benefits of traveling during your dream destination’s low season. Tip #3: Decide What is Most Important

You may not be able to have it all for your honeymoon. That is ok! Decide what will make for the most memorable experience for both of you. If you can agree on a few key important pieces you both want as part of your honeymoon, it will be a trip of a lifetime.

Tip #4: Create a Realistic Budget

This one just might be the most important tip. Discuss what you want to spend, what you are comfortable spending, and where you are willing to wiggle from that budget. Your honeymoon should be a big, wonderful trip that you will remember the rest of your lives, but it shouldn’t put stress on your finances to the point where you end up not enjoying yourselves.

Honeymoon Planning Tip #5: Work with a Travel Advisor

A travel expert can help save you time, money, and stress, get you VIP services, and use destination/resort knowledge to help find the best fit for your honeymoon. You have enough on your plate planning for your wedding! Leave the honeymoon planning to an expert!
