Frequently Asked Questions
Q: My wedding is next week/tomorrow/really soon. Am I too late?
A: No - my goal is to make the whole process as easy as possible, even for beginners to video. However, if your wedding is coming up very soon, it may take longer than 2-3 weeks for me to finish your edit. Contact me + we can get you on the calendar.
Q: Do I need to have/pack a bunch of equipment?
A: Nope, all you need is your camera phone and a tripod. However, if you want to get fancy, you can find my favorite gear recommendations here.
Q: Do I need a professional-grade camera?
A: Not at all! The majority of my clients (including the videos you see above) are filmed with either an iPhone or a GoPro. Seriously!
Q: So I can just take a bunch of random videos on my phone/camera and then you edit them all together?
A: Kind of! You can take as many random shots as you’d like. I’ll include a video-taking toolkit to guide you in the process. If possible, I do recommend assigning someone to babysit the camera on a tripod during your ceremony so that you don't miss a moment.
Q: Will there be music in my video?
A: Absolutely! I'll ask you for your favorite genres of music + take inspiration from your favorite artists to pick a song for your final film.
Q: Can you use fill-in-the-blank-popular-song in my video?
A: Unfortunately, no. I know how special certain songs can be for your relationship, but due to music licensing laws, I'll have to choose a song that I have access to as a professional video editor.
Q: What if I also want my honeymoon captured on video?
A: You're looking for my travel video editing package. I do offer specials if you purchase both a wedding + a honeymoon film, so reach out today for current offerings!
Q: Which package is right for me, the Pine or the Ponderosa?
A: It depends! The Pine is perfect for elopements because all you need is a smartphone on a tripod + permission from your photographer to use their photos in your video. The Ponderosa is ideal for weddings where you want guests to participate and if you'd like more events included outside of simply the ceremony, like toasts or wedding weekend activities.
